Who Is Ken Manning?

Ken Manning is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of New Jersey and qualified to practice in all fifty states and the District of Columbia.  His practice is located in the northern New Jersey Township of Pequannock in historic Morris County.  Ken serves a nationwide audience with a focus on taxation.  Ken is a student of the tax code.  He is a member of  the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA).

Ken holds an AAS degree from Bergen Community College (1971) and a BS degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University (1973).  At FDU, he majored in Accounting and minored in Finance.  Ken graduated Magna Cum Laude and was ranked 9th in his class.

Upon graduation, Ken joined the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) where he spent eleven years as a Revenue Agent.  He served as a Corporate Tax Law and Audit Specialist.  Ken received a series of unprecedented promotions raising his labor grade from GS-7 to a GS-13 in only six years.  The GS-13 grade represented the highest level attainable within the Field Examination Division of the IRS.  At the IRS, Ken was the recipient of three Sustained Superior Performance Awards.

In 1984, Ken left the IRS to begin his career in private practice.  He first served as a Tax Manager at a regional CPA firm in the New York - New Jersey area.  Ken later served as a Tax Partner at two regional CPA firms.  In 1989, after 16+ years as a tax professional, Ken ventured on his own as a Sole Practitioner.  As a sole practitioner, Ken is focused on delivering personalized service and attention to his clients.  He is a skilled negotiator with a no-nonsense approach to problem-solving.  Ken is recognized for his superior preparation, his attention to detail, and his integrity.

In his 40+ years as a tax specialist, Ken has applied his negotiating skills in more than 1,400 IRS audits of individuals and businesses.  In the field of taxation, there is no substitute for experience.  Ken has it.
